Very short to rate the game. Is there a sequel?
Needs to be a longer demo. Other than that, cool game.

It's very good, but My Pc have 30Fps on that game, I love it :)

First things first - great job! The aesthetic was mostly consistent, and the game works quite well.
Now, both as a fellow developer and a Dark Souls veteran, I'm gonna pick this thing apart :D
The animations are too stiff and weightless, the particles of the chests look like placeholders, the combat system doesn't feel good enough - too little interactivity and impact on hits (like swords bouncing off of shields), enemies deal pitiful damage, your attacks hold close to no risk with their swiftness, having both jumps and rolls is more than enough avoidance, you have to be really bad at games to struggle at that point. The control scheme has some absurdities, mainly roll on Q, like who the hecc does that :D Also, no lock on on Scroll, that's a bummer. Music controller isn't the best, especially with this easily breakable AI, I've had constant music resets. What you copied too faithfully from Dark Souls games is the camera behavior, the hardest thing about the fights was seeing anything at all :D
For the problems, the most memorable one is the rotating of health bar on the first enemy, and the lack of health bars on further enemies.
In summary, it's not there in a lot of areas, but I can say you're certainly on the right track, and you seem to have enough skill to eventually get there. Best of luck to you :)

I agree with your review, the issues are mainly caused by a bad management of my task during the 1 and half month of development, I took for granted a lot of things only to discover later that it was harder that I thought. After Humanity Is Dead I wanted to do too many things in a short time (cinematics remained but I removed different path progressions, a love story, npc, and boss fights very inspired to Dark Souls with the tipical "requiem" boss music fight). At the end I decided to leave the issues and stop the development, I did not want to spend too much time on a prototype.

I'm also a video game developer and i just wanted to say that i would love to follow up the progression of this game and work on it till it is finished polished and possibly worthy to be called a double A video game,, at least

Cool game. I like the art style and lighting. There are a few issues with it, like ambiance ,but it's a good start.
Congrats for finish the game the first time without the sword ahah! :D From the video I realized that I forgot to removed the crouch button from the UI :P Also I do not know why your blocking wall is more opaque than trasparent, maybe on some quality settings the trasparent texture is not working well. Played this for a 3 free indie horrors (As this is listed in the horror game for some reason) With the impression it was gonna be a horror-souls game. I was kinda right/kinda wrong? It definitely looks the part, but doesn't quite feel it (Yet) definitely needs snappier controls and more polish and gameplay but, i can see SO MUCH potential here. Audio only plays through left or right track most of the time, which is weird. I give a much more in-depth review in my video near the end, below
Yeah, maybe adding the tag horror for this game was not a good decision, the intention was to say that it has a dark theme. Camera problems and controls are something that needs to be fixed to be sure, I put too much time on the graphics and less on the gameplay (ouch!). Thanks for playing this prototype! :D
I think I blinded one of the enemies, or at least shaken his head to knock pathfinding out of him. :)
This is a really great start! Not without some pretty major issues, but a solid foundation nonetheless. The visuals are fantastic, but the animations are a little clunky, the combat is satisfying, but lacks a good flow to them and the mechanics are solid, but the camera still needs a lot of work. As with Humanity Is Dead, the game shows quite a bit of promise, but I'm looking forward to seeing a more highly polished version. Great work so far!
Hi CoalFire, thank you also this time to play the demo! I watched you and enjoyed your video. Agree with your solution for the camera, I needed to add a transparency to objects if collision with camera happens, but didn't have time to write the shader :(
I wanted to replace the combat animation also. The volumetric lights made a lot for the atmosphere, thanks to the Unity paper about the Adam demo using Volumentric light. As for Humanity is Dead, I hope to find a publisher interested in the game :)
